Explore Mallorca

For those of you who plan to make a bit of a holiday out of your trip to Mallorca we thought it might be useful to share with you some of the amazing things that you can do across the island. The island is tiny (you could travel around the entire perimeter in just under 6 hours) so nothing is out of reach.

Eat.

Mallorca has some of the best restaurants that we have ever eaten at. We especially love Palma and its 'foodie' culture. Here are a few of the places that we would recommend...

El Camino

el-camino-restaurant-palma-de-mallorca.webp

A stylish and buzzy Palma tapas bar that is owned by the same family as the people behind Barrafina. The restaurant is great for couples and small groups looking for amazing food.

Ombu

Ok so, we'll let you into a secret, this is our favourite restaurant in Palma. The last time we went, we visited three days out of the five! We tend to go for lunch and sit out the front, but it is equally as great for dinner. Again, it is tapas style food but with an Asian twist. We highly recommend the burrata (pictured).

Tast Club

A hidden gem in the middle of Palma that you will find tucked away down the beautiful back streets. The interior is as amazing as the food here. A must go for amazing and high quality Mallorcan food.

KOA

This is part of the same group as Ombu and is a brilliant place to go for fresh seafood and a brilliant grill. The cocktails are also a must try. A great spot for dinner...

Merchants

If you're looking for the best steak on this list, you've found it. Merchants opened its doors 2019 and has an amazing atmosphere. The hidden garden at the back is a great place to enjoy a drink and the interior is swish and stylish.

Portixol Hotel

If you're looking to open a cold glass of vino and enjoy one of the best lunches Palma has to offer then head down to Portixol Hotel. Set on the sea front in a small fishing town just outside of Palma, you won't regret the walk along the waterfront...

Forn de Sant Joan

The third entry on here from the group that also has KOA and Ombu. Forn de Sant Joan is their more traditional restaurant so if you're looking for a more romantic meal this could be a great spot. Expect excellent fish dishes and a stunning wine list.

Dins

If you're looking for something a little special then book yourself into Dins. A fantastic Mallorcan restaurant by Santi Taura.

El Olivo

el-olivo-06.jpeg

If you fancy a trip into the mountains, Deia is one of the most beautiful places you go to. Famously a location frequented by writers, poets and musicians as a place to write their songs, it's truly breathtaking. In the heart of Deia is Hotel La Residencia at their restaurant El Olivo. A michellin stared gem.

Ca's Patro March

Another amazing restaurant in Deia. If you're looking for fresh seafood and fish in a stunning setting for lunch then look no further.

Drink.

From beach clubs to buzzing bars, Mallorca's vibrant social scene has a lot to offer. Check out the cocktails at some of these.

Door 13

Beatnik Bar

Located in the trendy Purohotel - check this bar and rooftop out for some great cocktails.

Nakar Rooftop Bar

A small but great rooftop bar at the top of the Nakar hotel in Palma. It has got beautiful views of the cathedral.

Explore.

There is tonnes to do on our favourite island other than eat & drink. We think...

Visit La Seu Cathedral

Right in the heart of the city of Palma is the stunning La Seu Cathedral - even to walk around it is worth it.

El Tren de Soller

If you've got the time this is an amazing experience, a wooden train built in 1912 takes you on an hour's journey through the Tramuntana mountains.

Bodegas Ribas

The oldest vinyard in Spain is well worth a trip...

Jardins d'Alfàbia
